Ways Becoming of a Woman and Daughter of God






*GENTLE ~ 1 Peter 3:3-4, Galatians 5:22~ a soft touch, taking great care with something fragile, soft, light, careful, quiet {the opposite of gentle: harsh, rude, rough, uncaring, heavy handed}

*QUIET ~ 1 Peter 3:3-4 ~ sweet, thoughtful, content, peaceful, humble, wise, self-controlled {the opposite of quiet: loud, obnoxious, boisterous, selfish, proud, foolish, rash}

*LOVING ~ Galatians 5:22 ~ kind, selfless, servant's heart

*JOYFUL ~ Galatians 5:22 ~ full of joy for and in the Lord, delights in all she undertakes, working as for the Lord

*PEACEFUL ~ Galatians 5:22 ~ overwhelmed with and exhibiting consistently the Peace of the Lord

*LONG-SUFFERING ~ Galatians 5:22 ~ Patient, even as the Lord is patient

*GOOD ~ Galatians 5:22 ~ not bitter, resentful, slanderous, etc

*FAITHFUL ~ Galatians 5:22 ~ to God, her family, and her calling as a child of God, a wife, a mother, a homekeeper, a daughter, a sister, and a friend to all

*MEEK ~ Galatians 5:23 ~ humble in spirit, mild in temperament

*TEMPERATE ~ Galatians 5:23 ~ free from emotional extremes and outbursts; self-controlled

*REVERENT IN BEHAVIOR ~ Titus 2:3 ~ seeking to glorify God and her family in every thought and action

*NOT SLANDEROUS ~ Titus 2:3 ~ refraining from gossip, refraining even from association around those who gossip, resorting instead to prayer so to resist the temptation to gossip

*NOT GIVEN TO MUCH WINE ~ Titus 2:3 ~ not a partaker of alcohol, rather rendering her body to the beneficial service of the Lord, in which alcohol has no place in the temple of the Spirit, as it seeks only to hinder

*TEACHER OF GOOD THINGS ~ Titus 2:3 ~ a teacher, and of good things; things that are pleasing to the Lord, things that are righteous, edifying, pure, holy, good, and free from temptation of sin

*LOVING THEIR HUSBANDS & CHILDREN ~ Titus 2:4 ~ loving in both words and service in the Lord, putting them before all else but God

*DISCREET ~ Titus 2:5 ~ marked by prudence or modesty and wise self-restraint; not drawing attention to herself: see modest, moderate, and shamefaced

*CHASTE ~ Titus 2:5 ~ morally and physically pure, giving herself only to her husband; dressing modestly as to not entice another man into the sin of lusting after what belongs to her husband (her body) for if she does tempt him, even unintentionally, and if he does give into temptation and sin, it is her sin as well, and dishonor to her husband (Luke 17:1-2)

*HOMEMAKER ~ Titus 2:5 ~ rejoices in being the God-given keeper of the home

*OBEDIENT TO THEIR HUSBANDS ~ Titus 2:5 ~ submissive to her husband as to the Lord

*MODEST IN DRESS ~ 1 Timothy 2:9 ~ (see: "Katastolē") : dressing in long, flowing garments which cover everything from the hip to the entirety of the knee (as God attributes female nakedness as including any showing of the thigh (Isaiah 47:2-3), which includes the area from the hip to the bottom of the knee, and also instructs nakedness to be covered according to His standards, not to mankind's), non-form fitting and discreet; feminine; bearing not any resemblance to a man's garment, as God calls this not just a sin, but an abomination equivalent to homosexuality and bestiality (Deuteronomy 22:5)~ [ {*ὡσαύτως [καὶ] γυναῖκας ἐν καταστολῇ κοσμίῳ μετὰ αἰδοῦς καὶ σωφροσύνης κοσμεῖν ἑαυτάς, μὴ ἐν πλέγμασιν καὶ χρυσίῳ ἢ μαργαρίταις ἢ ἱματισμῷ πολυτελεῖ,*} directly translated: {likewise [and] women in~(katastolē)~clothing proper with modestly and discretely adorn themselves, not in hair and gold or pearls or garments costly,} ]

*MODERATE IN DRESS ~ 1 Timothy 2:9 ~ all things in moderation: hairstyles, makeup, perfume, jewelry, colors and styles of clothing

*SHAMEFACED IN DRESS AND COUNTENANCE ~ 1 Timothy 2:9 ~ modesty, even bashfulness, in appearance and demeanor

*HAVING LONG HAIR ~ 1 Corinthians 11:15 ~ (prayerfully note the lack of specifics) typically, past shoulder length, as it is her glory as defined by God, her sign of authority to the angels, and her covering to honor God and her husband while in prayer

*WORKER OF GOOD WORKS ~ 1 Timothy 2:10 ~ displays good works, charity, in and of faith, for the glory of God and the good of whom the serves ("Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone....For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." James 2:17,26)
